Written by Queen’s lead guitarist Brian May, ’39 sounds like a sea shanty tale, and is even sung like one for live performances. Based off Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, this “sci-fi folk song” was released on ‘A Night at the Opera” and is unlike most popular songs the band is known for, firstly because Brian May would perform lead vocals, and also because it does show the softer side of Queen. | |
